1. Uniform distribution of airflow and temperature. The combustion chamber must have sufficient length and space to ensure that the air flow and temperature distribution through the catalyst surface are uniform and that the flame does not come into direct contact with the catalyst surface. The catalytic combustion device should have a good thermal insulation effect. The furnace body is generally lined with refractory materials or double-layer sandwich walls.

2. Easy to clean and replace. Catalyst reactors should generally be designed with a mold drawer structure that is easy to load and unload, making it easy to clean and replace the catalyst carrier.

3. Auxiliary fuel and combustion. Catalytic combustion generally uses natural gas as auxiliary fuel, and can also use fuel oil and electric heating as auxiliary fuel. Purified gas is generally used for combustion, and if the purified gas cannot be used as combustion, air should be introduced.

4. High conversion speed. Since catalytic combustion is an irreversible exothermic reaction, it should be carried out at the highest possible temperature to obtain a high conversion rate, no matter what stage the reaction is in. However, the operating temperature is often limited by certain conditions, such as the heat resistance temperature of the catalyst, the availability of high-temperature materials, the supply of heat energy, and whether there are side reactions. Therefore, in actual production, it should be selected appropriately according to the actual situation.
